Calendula officinalis L
Annual 40 cm flowers. Large flowers, 6–8 cm in diameter. Grow and bloom both in a sunny and shaded area. Not demanding to soil. Grow best in loamy soil, fertile soil. For planters, flower gardens, good for potting. After blooming are deadheaded to promote and extend the blooming. Contain phytoalexins therefore other plants in the vicinity are less attacked by pests.
