Biennial leaf vegetable. Vegetation period is 55 days. Leaves and stalks are used for food. Harvest can be taken until late autumn. Resistant to frost not demanding to soil. Grow best in non-acid, humus-rich loam. Suitable for boiling, steaming, frying, canning. Leaves and stalks are rich in carotene, plenty of vitamin C, B1, B2, calcium, phosphor, iron, other minerals.
