Description
Lavandula angustifolia Mill.
Perennial medicinal, nectariferous, decorative herbs. Fresh or dried lavender flowers and pungent strong smelling leaves are used to spice up mutton, game, sauces, confectionery. A twig of lavender inserted between the clothes repels moth. The preferred method of growing – planting sprouts grown from seeds in the nursery. Lavender plant is around 40-60cm tall. Can grow as long as 10 years in the same place. Needs cover during winter.
